Usually I don’t expect much from college humor outside of some sophomoric humor. While this video might have some facetiousness, it does have a poignant underpinning.
The time when a son finally views his father as a person (as “you”) is often a very surreal moment. “Like father, like son” is a very understated saying. Unfortunately, due to the lack of quality fathering in modern society, many sons try to prevent this maxim from manifesting. Realizing this, many men will not relate to this video.
However, I share this video both as a hope that more sons experience this framework of viewing their fathers; and as a celebration of all sons who were fortunate enough to have a quality father (or two) influence on their life.
