Heals your skin without leaving you greasy.

Buckler’s Chapped Skin Remedy

Fall is in full swing right now, but winter is just around the corner. Temperatures are dropping, the wind is getting bitter, and the humidity levels are dropping. All of these are perfect ingredients for chapped skin.

Recently the good folks over at The Motley sent over some of their certified vegan, non-animal tested Buckler’s Chapped Skin Remedy. Used primarily for seriously chapped skin on your hands, elbows, knees, or anywhere else your skin has problems staying moisturized in the cold weather.

A buckler is—quite simply—a small fist-shield generally between 12” and 18” in diameter. Bucklers became so representative of medieval fighting arts that by the 15th century, “buckler” was a synonym in medieval English for “fighter.” You can create your own fist-shield by applying Buckler’s Chapped Skin Remedy to your hands, causing Old Man Winter’s slings and arrows to bounce off like rubber balls.

Thin enough to quickly absorb into your skin, thick enough to only need a dab.

Not only does Buckler’s prevent skin damage, it also repairs existing damage. When I received the bottle, I had a few annoying dry spots on the top of my knuckles that were prone to cracking. Buckler’s not only fixed those areas within 12 hours, but the problems haven’t returned. Just take a dab of the cream and work it into your dry areas after you get out of the shower and leave it alone. If you want to double up, use it after you wake up too.

My favorite aspect of Buckler’s is that it doesn’t leave my skin greasy and slimy like some moisturizers/lotions. The hydrating nutrients quickly absorb into my skin without lolly-gagging around on the surface and rubbing off on my clothes.

Additionally, 120 ml bottle should last anyone a very long time because it takes only a small dab of this magic stuff to fix your problems–you don’t need to bathe in it.

Overall I am a big fan of Buckler’s, and if you are looking for an inexpensive and reliable no-nonsense treatment of your chapped skin, look no further than The Motley’s offering of Buckler’s Chapped Skin Remedy.
