Soxfords

I’m a simple guy, with simple pleasures. Among them are: copying signatures, smelling baking bread, and wearing fun socks. Soxfords happens to be experts in making fun socks, so I had to give them a shot. Pictured above are their “choco chip mints” socks, which are light green with black spots and some ice cream scoops criss-crossing under a dollop of pink ice cream like a delicious Jolly Roger.

What I don’t understand is why the ice cream is pink, when clearly we’re dealing with the king of ice creams here–mint chocolate chip. All other ice creams are inferior, especially that pink strawberry nonsense. What I love most about these socks (and most of the Soxfords patterns) is how the socks look all business around the ankles, but pull up your cuff a bit and the party starts.

Soxfords

The price at $25 for a pair is pretty steep, making these more of a gift idea than a wardrobe staple. However, you can get 18 pairs of these socks for $300, which drops the price to $16.67 per pair–not all that bad. There are also other bulk collections sorted by color, and I’d suggest you take that route to drop the price per pair.

Don’t worry about the quality of these bad boys: the socks are comfortable enough, and well-built. The quality matches some of the more high-end socks I’ve tried from retailers like Barney’s and Nordstrom, so you’re not buying all novelty here. These are legitimate awesome socks, they just play as hard as they work, and I can get behind that. Soxfords is the ivy league of socks; from quality to prints, they are the best of the best.
